Three famous Palm Beach names appear on the just-released Forbes list of the world’s 100 most powerful celebrities.
According to the magazine, television personality Donald Trump, above, is the 14th richest and most powerful actor, actress, model, comedian, athlete, writer or musician on the planet.
Radio host and North End resident Rush Limbaugh, above, comes in at no. 19.
Prolific best-selling author James Patterson, above, is in 37th place on the list.
The rankings are based on individual income earned from entertainment-related pursuits and visibility in the media via print, television, radio and online outlets over the past year.
All these elements are combined to determine a celebrity’s position on the list.
It’s not just about money.
If that were the case, media mogul Oprah Winfrey would be atop the list with her $165 million paycheck.
But when all the other factors are figured in, Winfrey comes in second.
In the no. 1 position this year is singer-actress and American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez.
J-Lo “only” took in $52 million, putting her in 10th place in terms of earnings, but her other rankings pushed her to the top spot.
No. 3 is Justin Bieber.
As for the local gents who made the list, they are no slouches when it comes to raking in the dough.
Trump is estimated to have earned $63 million from his celebrity endeavors.
Forbes estimated Limbaugh’s income at $69 million over the past 12 months.
And Patterson took in a very impressive $94 million.
